This assessment helps to ensure academic success by placing you in appropriate courses.<\/p>\n<p>You may be exempt from skills assessment if:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>You have already completed the assessment process at 911±¬ÁÏÍø;<\/li>\n<li>You have already successfully completed a transferable course in English composition and\/or mathematics at another college (math course must be within the last five years);<\/li>\n<li>You are taking courses on an audit basis not for credit.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Students who believe that their assessment scores do not reflect their level of skill should contact the\u00a0<a href=\"\/testing\/\">Testing Center<\/a> 413-775-1147 to discuss their options and to arrange for a re-test.<\/p>\n<p>Students whose skills assessment places them in ENG 090 or COL 090 should not enroll in college-level courses, except for those open to developmental English students.
