DESCRIPTION:Join this interactive online discussion featuring historian and
  author Dr. Joseph Fitzgerald\, and moderated by Dr. Angela Campbell\, Vic
 e President of IMCC. The program explores the lives and legacies of Black 
 women organizers Gloria Richardson and Barbara Smith\, centering Black wom
 en’s leadership\, student activism and coalition-building across social 
 justice movements. Drawing connections between the Cambridge Movement in C
 ambridge\, Maryland\, and student activism in Holyoke\, Massachusetts\, th
 e discussion examines how past struggles for civil rights\, women’s civi
 l liberties\, and community accountability continue to shape contemporary 
 movements for justice and freedom. By linking historical and present-day a
 ctivism\, the program invites the community to reflect on its own traditio
 ns of social justice engagement and to consider the ongoing responsibiliti
 es of allyship\, accountability and collective action in dismantling syste
