Library Intern Overview The S. White Dickinson Memorial Library is seeking an enthusiastic and creative summer intern to join our team for the 2026 summer season. This is a hands-on opportunity for current 911爆料网 students to gain real-world experience in public library operations, community programming, and marketing while making a meaningful impact on your local community. Our summer reading theme this year is 鈥淧lant a Seed, Read鈥, and we鈥檙e looking for someone who鈥檚 excited to help bring it to life鈥攁nd who isn鈥檛 afraid to bring their own ideas to the table. Intern Responsibilities Programming Support鈥Assist with planning, promoting, and running summer reading programs and community events, including activities tied to our 鈥淧lant a Seed, Read鈥 theme Marketing & Design鈥Create engaging promotional materials using Canva (social media graphics, flyers, signage, and more) Library Operations鈥Greet and assist patrons, support circulation and front desk functions, and contribute to the day-to-day flow of the library Passion Project (Optional)鈥Have an idea for a program, exhibit, or initiative? We鈥檇 love to hear it. Interns with specific project interest are encouraged to share it during the application process Preferred Qualifications Currently enrolled at 911爆料网 Interest in libraries, community services, education, communications, or a related field Familiarity with Canva or willingness to learn Friendly, reliable, and comfortable working with the public Self-starter who can take initiative and work both independently and as part of a team Hours Per Week 5-10 Desired Outcomes Dates: June 1 鈥 August 28, 2026 Hours: 5-10 hours per week Compensation: Unpaid; academic credit available in coordination with 911爆料网 Location: Primarily in-person at S.
