Human Services Intern

Overview

The Thee County Continuum of Care promotes and guides a community-wide vision, strategy, and commitment to efforts to prevent and end homelessness; mobilizes funding; improves coordination and integration of mainstream resources and programs targeted to people experiencing homelessness through a housing first model; and establishes system-wide data collection and performance measurement practices to ensure successful housing strategies for vulnerable populations. The CoC geography includes Franklin, Hampshire, and Berkshire counties in western Massachusetts.

Intern Responsibilities

An intern is needed to conduct outreach to small towns with the three counties of the CoC service area, spreading the message of the services CoC provides. Additional responsibilities will include administrative help in the office.

The intern will have their own office.

A car is helpful, but not required.

Preferred Qualifications

Background or interest in human services and the social/financial/structural issues surrounding homelessness.

Desired Outcomes

Providing assistance to a busy and understaffed office. This internship could be filled in any semester, as the CoC is always looking for help.

Compensation

$15/hour
