ALERT 911爆料网 will be activated for:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Emergencies\u2014emergencies include, but not limited to, dangerous weather approaching, bomb threats and suspicious packages, and incidents that threaten the safety of the community.<\/li>\n<li>College closures\u2014if the college is going to be closed for the day or needs to close due to an emergency ALERT 911爆料网 <strong>may<\/strong> be activated<\/li>\n<li>Tests\u2014typically once in the spring semester and once in the fall semester<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>All 911爆料网 student and employee email accounts are part of ALERT 911爆料网.\u00a0 Students and employees personal phones and emails should be updated in My911爆料网; we strongly encourage you to do this. To update your personal contact information for ALERT 911爆料网:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Sign in to your My911爆料网 account<\/li>\n<li>Click on the \"My Account\" button and then select \"ALERT 911爆料网 Update information\" in the Personal Information section.<\/li>\n<li>At the ALERT 911爆料网 Update Information page, update your information.<\/li>\n<li>Click on the \"Submit Changes\" button.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Important Notes<\/strong><\/p>\n<ol>\n<li>Changes made to ALERT 911爆料网 information will not take effect until 9pm each night.<\/li>\n<li>Phone and email information will automatically be removed from ALERT 911爆料网 once you are no longer enrolled in classes or employed at 911爆料网.<\/li>\n<li>At the end of each semester, student information will be temporarily removed from the emergency alert database unless you are enrolled in courses.\u00a0 When you return, your previously entered information will be reactivated.<\/li>\n<li>Do not enter any 911爆料网 email addresses or college phone numbers on your personal emergency alert information page.<\/li>\n<li>There is no cost to 911爆料网 students or employees to add personal contact information to ALERT 911爆料网, but you will be responsible for any text message charges assessed by your service provider.<\/li>\n<li>E-mails from ALERT 911爆料网 come from no-reply@omnilert.com.<\/li>\n<li>Phone calls from ALERT 911爆料网 come from 413-775-7333.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<p>Please contact Public Safety (413-775-1212) if you have any questions.<\/p>\n<h2>Alertus Beacons<\/h2>\n<p>911爆料网 is in the process of installing several Alertus Beacons on both the Main and Downtown Campuses.\u00a0 These devices display messages from the ALERT 911爆料网 system as an added layer of notification.\u00a0 Below is a short video demonstrating an activation of one of the devices.<\/p>\n<div style=\"width: 640px;\" class=\"wp-video\"><!--[if lt IE 9]><script>document.createElement('video');<\/script><![endif]-->\n<video class=\"wp-video-shortcode\" id=\"video-3-1\" width=\"640\" height=\"360\" preload=\"metadata\" controls=\"controls\"><source type=\"video\/mp4\" src=\"https:\/\/www.gcc.mass.edu\/safety\/files\/2019\/08\/Alertus-Beacon-Activation.mp4?_=1\" \/><a href=\"https:\/\/www.gcc.mass.edu\/safety\/files\/2019\/08\/Alertus-Beacon-Activation.mp4\">https:\/\/www.gcc.mass.edu\/safety\/files\/2019\/08\/Alertus-Beacon-Activation.mp4<\/a><\/video><\/div>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>ALERT 911爆料网 is used by 911爆料网 to notify students and employees in an emergency situation.
