Health insurance charges may be <a href=\"https:\/\/www.gcc.mass.edu\/sfs\/health-insurance\/waiver\/\">waived<\/a> if the student has comparable coverage.<\/p>\n<p>Student accounts must be paid in full for the term before the college can submit a student's name to the insurance company for coverage. This also applies for students enrolled in a payment plan and\/or receiving financial aid. Once a student's name is submitted, an email will be sent to the student with instructions to access their health insurance ID card online.<\/p>\n<p>For policy year 2025-2026, students will be insured by the Blue Cross Blue Shield (PPO) Insurance Plan through our broker <a href=\"https:\/\/www.gallagherstudent.com\/students\/customer-service.php?idField=1210\">Gallagher Student Risk<\/a>. Insurance is not charged for summer terms. Students should contact Gallagher directly for any questions related to benefits and coverage.<\/p>\n<div class=\"boxed\">\n<p><strong>Fall 2026<\/strong> \u2014 Coverage September 1, 2026 to August 31, 2027 \u2014 <strong>$4,806<\/strong><br \/>\n<strong>Spring 2027<\/strong> \u2014 Coverage January 1, 2027 to August 31, 2027 \u2014 <strong>$3,204<\/strong><\/p>\n<\/div>\n<p>Students enrolled in fewer than nine credits and dependents of students are\u00a0<strong>not<\/strong>\u00a0eligible for insurance coverage. If you are ineligible for the student health insurance plan, refer to the\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.mahealthconnector.org\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Massachusetts Health Connector website<\/a>\u00a0for alternative insurance options.<\/p>\n<p>If you think you are eligible to be charged for the student health insurance, but you do not see the charge on your bill, please contact Student Financial Services.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>We are required to charge the insurance fee even if some or all of a student's nine or more credits are remote.
